Donald C. Proctor
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer
This
year, Proctor Construction Company celebrates its 30th anniversary
providing construction services to the tri-county area that
includes Indian River, St. Lucie & Brevard counties. Donald
Proctor founded Proctor Construction Company with his father,
Ennis H. Proctor, in 1977. Prior to that, on behalf of Town
Island Builders, he provided residential construction and
project management exclusively to the community of John's
Island in Vero Beach. The formation of Proctor Construction
Company allowed diversification from offering single-family
residential construction services to providing what the name
Proctor has become synonymous with, quality commercial real
estate development and multi-family residential projects and
the enhancement of the Indian River area. Since 1977, Proctor
Construction Company has provided commercial and multi-family
construction totaling in nearly one billion dollars.
Donald
served as President of the Moorings Development Company from
1984 to 1991 and of Grand Harbor Development from 1991 to
1997. These two award-winning projects thrived under his development
and management expertise and have become comprehensive hallmark
communities in Indian River County, serving as models for
other developments to follow.
He
is widely recognized as a benefactor of cultural events and
youth sports, and broadly promotes general business related
industries in Indian River County. Donald currently serves
as director to a variety of local boards and charitable organizations.
Notable positions include appointment as an Honorary Trustee
for The Environmental Learning Center as well as to the Bank
Board of PNC Financial Services.
